GiddyGeese exists because we love bringing people together through music. We want every space we run to be one where everyone feels safe, welcome and free to be themselves. Safeguarding matters a lot to us, and we take every incident seriously.
This code of conduct applies to everyone at anything GiddyGeese runs: meetups, parties, radio takeovers, streams and online spaces. That includes our DJs, crew and volunteers as much as our guests.
What we expect
- Respect everyone. Whatever their identity, background, body, or how they dance.
- Ask first. Consent matters, whether that's touching someone, getting into their space, or filming or photographing them.
- Look out for each other. If someone seems unwell, lost or uncomfortable, check in on them or tell one of us.
- Respect the space. Look after the venue, the equipment, the artists and the people who work there.
- Know your limits. Look after yourself so you can enjoy the night and so can everyone around you.
What we won't tolerate
- Harassment of any kind, in person or online
- Discrimination, including racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and any other hate
- Unwanted touching, groping or sexual behaviour
- Following, intimidating or pressuring someone after they've said no
- Spiking, or any interference with someone's drink
- Filming or photographing people who don't want to be filmed
Drugs & alcohol
Our meetups and radio takeovers are strictly free of hard drugs. Alcohol and weed are fine there, but please know your limits and respect the space and the community around you.
Looking after yourself & each other
We know people make their own choices on a night out. Whatever you choose, we'd rather you got home safe:
- Drink water and take breaks from the dance floor
- Protect your ears. Earplugs let you enjoy the music for years to come
- Stay with your friends and make sure everyone gets home
- Ask for help. Feel free to ask anyone from our team for help at any time, for any reason
Talk to us
Talk to anyone from our team at an event. It doesn't matter what you have to say. Whether you need help or just want to let us know how the event is going, we'll make sure the right people hear about it. You can also go straight to:
- Cmun Selecta: +31 6 5761 2569
- Silly Goose
- Frank, our photographer
You don't need to have a "big" reason. If something feels off, come and find us.
Reporting something afterwards
If something happened and you'd rather tell us after the event, email GiddyGeeseNL@gmail.com or cmun.selecta@gmail.com. Every report is treated confidentially, and we'll get back to you as quickly as we can.
